| Biography |
| Dr. Dewar was born and raised in southwestern PA. He graduated cum laude from Westminster College with a B.S. in biology then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received residency training in family medicine in the U S Navy and in a community hospital. He has had a variety of experiences in Family Medicine including military medicine, rural medicine, directing a residency program and being an associate dean at a medical school. He currently coordinates the teaching of family medicine in the UPMC system as well working closely with the senior management of UPMC Graduate Medical Education. He and his wife live in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. They enjoy golf, skiing and all Pittsburgh sports. |
