Our program at UPMC McKeesport Family Medicine Residency is involved in the community in a variety of ways. One is the Annual HIV and Aids Awareness Walk which is the only one in Allegheny County. Residents, Health Center staff, and faculty are involved. The walk is organized by a working group on HIV in the community of which we have been an active part for the last 12 years The walk brings awareness to HIV and is not only a fun event but also awareness of and service to the community. HIV testing is always available for anyone interested in getting tested.
