Another local event our residency has participated in for many years is the Annual Village for Kids. The event is held the day before in a International Village that takes place in McKeesport. The event is sponsored by the McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP in conjunction with numerous local providers. Local providers host free activities for children and their families as well as provide information on the resources available. It is an opportunity for our residents as well as faculty to be out in the community making a connection. We are involved on a regular basis with the McKeesport SHIP ( State Health Improvement Partnership). The SHIP is dedicated to seeking innovative ways to spread health care education and solutions throughout the community. There is a spirit of collaboration and we are happy to be a part.
